Falling as we get older is quite common. Did you know that one third of adults aged 65+ and half of people aged 80+ will have at least one fall a year?
Having worked as a physiotherapist for almost 20 years, I know there are lots of things we can do to reduce the risk of falling and stay steady on our feet.
Although most falls don't cause serious injury, some do and almost all falls can knock a person’s confidence and jeopardise their independence.
To help you and your loved ones stay safe this winter, here are my top tips for preventing falls and staying well in the booklet above and below.

‘Fall proof’ your home: Falls are often caused by hazards which are easy to overlook but are easy to fix if you know what to keep an eye out for.
