We promote use of the NHS App
It is easy to register NHS App and Repeat Prescriptions Leaflet (PDF, 725KB)
Please order repeat prescriptions at least 48 hours in advance, making allowances for weekends and public holidays. Please use the NHS App to order or the printed form supplied with your prescription by ticking the items you require. We encourage all patients to nominate a Pharmacy so the authorised prescription can be sent electronically.
Unfortunately, except in rare cases, we cannot accept repeat requests over the phone as this introduces potential for errors and ties up the phone lines. In certain circumstances the local pharmacies may also be prepared to deliver medication, such as to the elderly, disabled and housebound. If you wish to take advantage of this service, you can find out which pharmacies participate by contacting your usual pharmacist.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:
- Online, on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
- At your GP practice
- At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions
Medication reviews
If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. Please book a routine appointment for your review.
Collecting your prescription
You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.
Questions about your prescription

Your local pharmacists can also answer any questions about your prescription. They can answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
