Check your Blood Pressure!
Posted or Updated on 26 Mar 2025
Invincible Feeling, Invisible Danger is a campaign that aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring.
An estimated 88,000 people across mid and south Essex are living with undiagnosed high blood pressure. Since high blood pressure often has no symptoms, we're encouraging people to get checked. Our local pharmacies offer free blood pressure checks.
This partnership campaign supports a regional and national focus on lowering the risk and prevalence of cardiovascular disease (CVD). It will be delivered by the NHS and public health teams in mid and south Essex and, promotes accessible blood pressure checks through local pharmacies and encourages proactive health management via BP@Home. Currently, 175 out of 196 community pharmacies in mid and south Essex offer free blood pressure checks for people aged 40 or over.
