Mobile Waste Collection Posted or Updated on 17 Jul 2024

The Crunch is on the move

It’s week two of the Crunch – let’s reset and start from scratch!

This Saturday, the mobile waste collection service will be coming to locations near you in each of the borough's five towns.

Do you have any excess general waste in black sacks or bulky waste items? Get your gloves on and bring them to one of the following locations on Saturday 20 July:

  • Billericay - Carvers Wood CM11 2TJ
  • Wickford - Kershaws Close SS12 0LJ
  • Laindon - Southwell Link off Gower Chase SS15 5TZ
  • Craylands - Jordan Way SS14 3QL
  • Pitsea - Kenneth Road layby SS13 2AT

For a five-week period, The Crunch (council waste collection vehicles) will visit each of the council’s main towns and allow residents to get rid of any built up waste. The service will also allow residents to dispose of all bulky items for free

At last week's Crunch, we collected 37.62 tonnes of waste - the equivalent of approximately 29 Ford Fiestas!

Let’s Clean Up. The Gloves are on!
